This year World of Geomatics headed for the Midlands - Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry. This year was the 10th Anniversary of the event with only 4 original exhibitors still supporting the event one of which was of course... us!
MBS used the event to present their forthcoming release of the floor plan software, which has taken a major step forward with the introduction of beam objects and real-time layering. The latest RXS Tools was available as well as the latest hardware, namely a Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook P1510 Convertible PC and Stylistic Tablet - showing our migration over to Windows XP as our core operating system.
The Wednesday night was yet again dedicated to the annual gala dinner. MBS and MLS invited several clients clients and guests to the event, which included pre-dinner drinks and a 3-course meal. The guest speaker was Andro Linklater, author of "Measuring America" followed by the a prize draw for MapAction. Just after midnight, just short of 60 people returned to our hotel to continue the evening with little emphasis on winding up events early!
