Following the success of last year, World of Geomatics returned to Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire. The annual event, which draws professionals from all sectors of the industry, contained exhibits from all the leading hardware and software developers.
MBS were exhibiting "en masse" with all the four Maltby brothers present, together with a new exhibition stand. The event was used to officially launch our latest Floor Plan software (MBS v5.00) which includes over 50 new and improved functions and communication enhancements e.g. total integration with the Leica Disto Plus, System 1200 and SmartStation, Trimble 5600, Sokkia and Topcon instruments.
We also demonstrated MBS Tools, which is now available as part of our new suite of training packages. The tools provide huge efficiency gains in floor plan production and are used within the AutoCAD environment to aid in the processing of MBS site data.
All our other software solutions were also on display with "live" demonstrations throughout the course of the two days.
Wednesday night was dedicated, as usual, to the annual gala dinner, held on the second floor of the main grandstand. MBS and MLS invited 18 clients and guests to the event, which included a 3-course meal and guest comedian (who informed the audience that a new illness had been discovered : Bulimic Amnesia - the first reported case being found within the Maltby family. Apparently it is where you eat too much, but forget to be sick!). A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all, with the Maltby entourage taking the prestigious "Last Man Standing" award yet again!
