Congratulations to Richard Maltby, MBS & MLS Director, who has been elected as Vice-President of the The Survey Association. 

Richard has been a long serving member of the TSA council and Chairman of the Technical Committee. He has strong links with the ICES and RICS and has been instrumental in the introduction and development of the TSA Training Course, which has been created specifically for the development of new entrants into the Geomatics Industry, or those with experience but no formal training.

Richard's dedication to the TSA, and the survey industry as a whole, was awarded with the first ever ICES Richard Carter Prize in September 2002, as "Geospatial Engineering Surveyor of the Year"  in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the education and training of geospatial engineering technicians following the introduction of this course.
