MBS Floor Plans

MBS Floor Plans allows for real time graphical capture of all the elements required for the production of scale drawings of floor plans. Running on hand-held computers and tablets the surveyor can input spatial data directly from a reflectorless Total Station or hand-held Bluetooth laser measuring device, or manually from a steel tape.

The software shows the misclosure on site, in real-time, enabling the surveyor to immediately see where control measurements are needed to meet the accuracy requirements of the project.

A wide variety of measurement methods can be chosen depending on the particular building being surveyed or the personal preference of the surveyor.

Intelligent data can be collected at the same time as the measurements and attached in the form of attributes to allow for detailed analysis in third party software. The attributes collected are user defined prior to measurement enabling the surveyor to accurately collect everything that is needed quickly and easily without the need for multiple-processes – or expensive and time consuming visits back to site to collect missing information.

    MBS Software is perfect for Facilities Managers to collect intelligent accurate data about their entire estate or individual building project. This data can be collected whilst the measured building survey is being undertaken or it can be added later. The software also allows the import of existing building plans from most CAD systems, ready to start adding data.

    There is no limit to the sort of data you can collect as the system is totally generic. Typical applications are for room usage analysis and for asset management where accurate counts of various items are required. Space planning applications are also common.

    The building plans are filled with user-defined symbols as data collected so that you can ensure that no important data is lost. The software allows easy population of existing simple databases e.g. Microsoft Access and Excel, or output to the leading FM packages such as Technology Forge, Evolution, Genes1s and Archibus.
